Support Systems Are Important

      Last night I was sitting on the computer doing some research and my husband comes and throws his debit card on the table and says, “Happy early Christmas.” He tells me to buy my books I need for my first doula course plus one more. Then as we are sitting there watching “Friends” on Netflix later on, he tells me I’m going to be such a great doula!

      I can’t express how amazing it feels to have such a solid support system. I have been through so much in the past 5 years that I would have never gotten through if it weren’t for him. He truly is my rock, and some days I can’t even believe he picked ME of all people! 

      So many times people comment on my photos and say, “Your husband is a lucky guy!”… No, I’m the lucky one here. For real, I can’t say it enough. It drives me nuts that luck is based off of looks. But that’s a totally different blog post. :P 

      But yeah, I am getting my first course books in about a week! I will probably start my courses early as well, in a week or 2. I still can’t believe that I made the decision to do something REAL with my life. I was just floating around for so long I was starting to think I’d never figure out what I am supposed to do! 

      Now I’m going to start cleaning and getting ready for Thanksgiving tomorrow! I’m not hosting but I am making some food to bring. My awesome sweet potato casserole, NOT the kind with nasty marshmallows because, seriously, what century are we in? Pecan crumble all the way!
